Denha Denḥa The Priest-Philosopher Denḥa Priest and monk in the Monastery of St. George, and the author of a lengthy treatise in the heptasyllable meter against the heretics, which Barsoum cited from the Didascalia in Midyat. Barsoum's assertion that this apparently West Syrian Denha is the same as the East Syrian Denha who wrote a commentary on the Psalms and several other works should be questioned. His placement of this Denha in the 9th century does not have any apparent basis besides this identification, and should also be held loosely. http://syriaca.org/person/160 http://viaf.org/viaf/sourceID/SRP|person_160 9th century? the Priest-Philosopher The Scattered Pearls: A History of Syriac Literature and Sciences 159 390 كتاب اللؤلؤ المنثور في تاريخ العلوم والأداب السريانية 342 ܒܪ̈ܘܠܐ ܒܕܝܪ̈ܐ ܕܥܠ ܡܪܕܘܬ ܝܘܠܦܢ̈ܐ ܣܘܪ̈ܝܝܐ ܗܕܝܪ̈ܐ 371 This author has a literary connection to a place.
