He continued, despite the persecution that caused the death of Shmona and Guria, to travel from village to village encouraging the Christians. It was in the region of Zeugma on the Euphrates when he learned that Lysanius was looking for him. He was imprisoned and burnt to death, and his mother accompanied him to his death.
