In some Greek manuscripts and editions of the Systematic Collection of the Sayings, one apophthegm is attributed to him. This chapter aims to present that short text, endeavouring, first, to answer the question to what extent these words could be considered genuinely Chrysostomian, then, to trace their origin, and, lastly, to explain their presence in the Sayings.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
