In particular, it is principal for untouched Syriac Lexicology research area in Turkey to examine some of the concepts and efforts produced by Syriac translators who have an important role on the acquisition of Arabic translation Greek logic, philosophy, astronomy and linguistics studies in Syriac Arabic during this transfer. Studies on the Arabic grammar starting with the Arabic linguist Sibeveyh, and the muᶜcem produced afterwards, are not sufficient to understand Arabic lexicographic terminology alone. In this respect, the attempt to understand both Syriac lexicography and Arabic lexicography tradition in the historical process comparatively in the historical process is the kind that will prepare a more scientific basis for this field. The fact that Syriac linguists in general are not sufficiently known in linguistic researches and that there is not enough work in this area in the context of lexicographic works in particular makes Iliya's conceptual-didactic lexicographic work named Kᵊtobo dᵊ-Targᵊmono worth to study. Iliya, in the sacred cause of the work of the sâded-cause states that he wrote his work by emphasizing both grammar and lexicological studies in order to teach Syriac to Syriacs who speak Arabic and Syriac in Mesopotamia. This research aims to address the author 's aim in the context of contemporary lexicographical studies.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
