In particular, this refers to the viability of the functional meaning of some ancient Armenian prepositions, such as զերդ, հանգոյն, գունակ, նման, etc., which are often found in FC.
FC in the poem by Nerses Shnorali can be classified on various grounds:
a) by part-of-speech: noun (Որպէս տանջանքն Եգիպտոսին), adjective ((Իբրու հմուտ լալեաց բանի), verb (Նստիմ ի սուգ ի տան մթի, որպէս օրէն է սգաւորի) and adverb (Զարիւն սրբոց յերկրի հեղին, որպէս հոսանք ջուրց վտակին),
b) according to semantics of the nuclear component: color name (Քան զձիւն սպիտակ լինիք), names of animals (Կամ զերդ առիւծ գոչէ առակ), proper names (Զերդ Գողիաթ Փղշտացին յոյժ ի հասակդ փքացեր), names of natural phenomena (Իբրեւ զծովու ալեաց կուտակ, Ափան գետոց աւզի գունակ),
c) by variation: lexical (Իբրեւ գազանս վայրենի // Եւ որպէս գայլք), morphological (Իբրեւ գազանս // զերդ զգազան), syntactic synonyms (Սեաւ զգենում գոյն տխրելի // Սեաւ գոյն զգենում), variations in volume value (Զերդ մայր // զերդ մայր՝ որդւովք բերկրեալ յորդոր).
The study of the structural laws of the FC in the poem “Elegy on the Capture of Edessa” by Nerses Shnorhali and the identification of their stylistic role in a broad sense can complete the description of the Pan-Armenian stylistic system and become the standard of stylistic typology of the development of the language in that era.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
