The established meaning of this verb does not match the Syriac context considered in itself, nor the underlying Greek word. The possibility of an Arabic loanword بقي is considered, but the sixth-century date of the translation makes that unlikely, and it is concluded that the original text must have been נתקוא, which was then miscopied as נתבקא by a later scribe under Arabic influence.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
