The inscription was written in the Yuan period by Uighur-Christian pilgrims coming from Guazhou, and clearly displays the presence of Christian Uigurs around Dunhuang in the Yuan dynasty. This paper further shows that Christian Uighurs shared some part of their cultural tradition with Buddhists.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
