This work, based on what was done by Pérez Fernández (1975), is part of a series of writings that aims to shed light on this process. Specifically, in this part, I will first describe some historical-philological aspects of the term "metaphysics" in the Syriac tradition and then I will focus on analyzing certain philological-philosophical aspects of this term in the Arab tradition, taking as reference some of its classic books, eg, the Kitab al-fihrist of Ibn al-Nadim. On this basis, as will be seen at the end of this writing, it would be possible to understand the value of the work of translation and transmission of knowledge in the Syrian-Arab tradition, and therefore, to infer that the occurrence of the term "metaphysics" in this tradition has a direct influence on the Latin configuration of the term "metaphysics".
