The Nestorian ʿAmmār al-Baṣrī, following the tradition of the Greek Church Fathers, presented all his views about the much treated questions of the Christian-Muslim religious discussions during the famous “dispute of Baghdad” having resort to the convincing methods of the Greek rhetoric. These methods, through the religious discussions, have been introduced to the scientific, mainly to the theological literature of Islam.
