An examination of these geographical accounts shows that in composing them Bar Ebroyo has, as usual, used a variety of sources both in Syriac (incl. the Syriac De mundo; Jacob of Edessa’s Hexaemeron or a work dependent thereupon) and in Arabic (incl. works of Bîrûnî; geographers of the “Balkhî” school; Battânî’s Zîj or a related work). A comparison of these accounts also brings to light certain tendencies that Bar Ebroyo developed with the progress of his literary career.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
