The historiography of the topic and a brief overview of the history of the Church of the East on the territory of these states are given. Widespread in the literature the attribution of some objects in Margiana as connected with Christianity comes under criticism. Undoubtedly, only one monument, known as Kharaba-koshk, is recognized as Christian.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
