The analysis of some extracts highlights the affinities of these apocryphal writings with Armenian historiographical works. The distinction between apocryphal writings and historical texts appears all the more tenuous since both «genres» take part, each in their own way, in one and the same cultural and religious project: to record the Armenian people as a new chosen people in the Historia Sacra; a project that forms the basis of the Armenian literature of the first centuries.
