The second part of the project focuses on the textual and ritual analysis of the prayers, gestures and rubrics regarding incensing. The third part deals an inter-ritual comparitive theological discussion on incensing in the light of the previous analysis. The final part of the project examines the pastoral significance of incensing in the present liturgical world. Our working hypothesis is that the rite of incensing as a tangible, sensual, and concrete symbol in realizing the process of theosisin liturgical celebrations provides various theological and spiritual meanings and symbolisms and, therefore, can serve as an authentic source for a theology of incensing in the Church.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
