The article shows that after a long period of liturgical syncretism, Westernization, and inauthentic manipulations, the Syro-Malabar Church restored its Eastern and East Syriac liturgical identity over the course of a century (1923-2023) through a gradual and painful process of restoration and reform under the paternal care of the Roman Pontiffs and the accompanying guidance of the Congregation for the Eastern Churches.
