This brief paper provides some remarks on Syriac iconographic aspects that belong to the common heritage of the Church of Antioch. It will introduce the reader to the iconographic scheme of Syriac church art, to its features shaped in multiple phases and to their regional differences.This paper will begin from the above premise, and will introduce the reader to the heritage of Syriac Christians in Jerusalem. It will analyze the way in which these Christians belonged to a tradition shaped in the Holy Land and bequeathed them through their own identity and, respectively, how these are expressed, adapted and narrated in specific literary sources.
