A more detailed comparison of the prayers for the blessing of the ring(s), including the corresponding prayer in the East Syriac Rite, is given in the appendix, together with translations of two remarkable poems to be found in the Pampakuda (Kerala) edition of the modern Syrian Orthodox rite.
