Apart from identification of their location within the codices, some comments are provided regarding the manuscripts’ content and ecclesiastical affiliation. Thus it is shown that, thanks to the newly-discovered <i>membrum disjectum</i> of Sin. syr. 56, we have at our disposal for the first time a complete text of the Syriac version of Anastasius of Sinai’s <i>Homily on Psalm 6</i>. Furthermore, it is argued that Sin. syr. 49 is a rare witness to the Syriac version of the Jerusalem lectionary.
