Karaca and Mehmet S. Rızvanoğlu and a book on inscriptions from Edessa by Selahattin E. Güler, who reported that the mosaic came from the village of Mıcıt (later renamed Çalışkanlar), 15 km west of Şanlıurfa. Unfortunately, the precise original context of the find is not recorded, though the inscription makes it clear that it is from a tomb. In his handbook of local inscriptions Güler included a Turkish translation of the main inscription based on an English translation supplied to him by John Healey, but the mosaic and the inscription have never been fully published and are worthy of a more detailed treatment.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
