En l’an 343 du règne des Grecs, sous le règne de notre seigneur Tibère, césar de Rome, et sous le règne du roi Abgar fils du roi Ma‘nou, au mois de Teshrî I, le douzième jour, Abgar le Noir envoya Maryahb et Shmeshgram, nobles honorables de son royaume et avec eux l’archiviste fidèle Hanan. 1

Ainsi aussi Laboubnâ, fils de Sénaq fis de Ebedshadday, scribe royal, écrivit ce qui concerne l’apôtre Adday du début à la fin, tandis que Hanan l’archiviste fidèle du roi levait la main en témoignage, et il le plaça au milieu des archives du roi, là où sont placés les commandements et les lois, et où les pièces des acheteurs et des vendeus sont conservées avec soin et sans aucune négligence. 1
