“ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܙܒܢ̈ܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܠܟ̈ܐ ܡܗ̈ܝܡܢܐ ܓܪܛܝܢܘܣ ܘܐܘܠܢܛܝܢܘܣ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܓܠܝܢܘܣ ܘܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܐܘܦܪܟܐ. ܘܡܠܟ ܡܠܟ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܡܠܟܐ. ܘܚܟܝܡ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܟܬܒ̈ܐ.” 1
“Au temps des rois croyants Gratien et Valentinien, il y avait un homme, Galien, qui était consul et à la tête des conseillers du roi et il était très savant dans la doctrine des Écritures.” 1

“ܘܒܩܠܐ ܪܡܐ ܫܒܚܘ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܥܠ ܕܝ̈ܢܐ ܕܝܠܗ ܠܐ ܡܬܕܪ̈ܟܢܐ. ܘܐܟܡܐ ܕܦܐܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܘܝܘ ܐܢܘܢ. ܘܒܐܝܩܪܐ ܪܒܐ ܥܦܝܘ ܘܣܡܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܓܠܘܣܩܡܐ ܚܕ ܐܝܟ ܦܘܩܕܢܗ ܕܪܝܫ ܕܝܪܐ. ܕܒܨܠܘ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܘܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܩܕܝ̈ܫܐ ܢܫܘܐ ܠܟܠܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ. ܕܒܕܘܒܪ̈ܐ ܛܒ̈ܐ ܢܫܦܪ ܠܗ. ܘܢܫܟܚ ܪ̈ܚܡܐ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ. ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܓܠܝܢܗ ܪܒܐ. ܘܢܚܕܐ ܒܗܝ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܘܫܒܝܚܬܐ. ܘܢܬܒܣܡ ܒܓܢܘܢܗ ܢܨܝܚܐ. ܘܢܘܕܐ ܘܢܫܒܚܝܘܗܝ ܥܡ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܩܕܝܫܘ̈ܗܝ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ. ܐܡܝܢ.” 1
“Et ils louèrent Dieu à haute voix pour ses jugements incompréhensibles; et comme il était convenable pour eux, ils les escortèrent et ils les enterrèrent avec grand honneur et les placèrent dans le même cercueil selon l’ordre de l’higoumène. Qu’à leurs prières et à celles de tous les saints le Seigneur nous juge tous dignes de lui plaire par une bonne vie, et de trouver miséricorde devant lui au jour de sa grande manifestation et de trouver notre joie dans son grand et glorieux royaume et de nous réjouir dans son illustre chambre nuptiale, et de lui rendre grâce et de le louer avec tous ses saints pour les siècles des siècles. Amen.” 1
