“ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܟܕ ܠܒܐܒܘܠܐ ܣܒܐ ܘܩܫܝܫ ܝܘ̈ܡܬܐ ܘܕܡܢ ܢܘܓܪܐ ܕܙܒܢܐ ܟܦܝܦ ܚܙܿܐ ܕܠܒܝܒܐܝܬ ܢܚܬ ܠܐܣܛܕܝܘܢ ܘܠܐܓܘܢܐ ܕܣܗܕܘܬܐ.” 1
“Que personne en voyant le vieillard Babylas, avancé en âge et courbé par la longueur du temps, descendre vaillamment dans le stade et au combat du martyre.” 1
