“ܐܚ̈ܝ. ܒܟܠ ܕܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܢܿܨܚܝܢ ܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܪ̈ܚܡܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ.” 1

“Il y avait un homme dans la ville de Serugh qui craignait Dieu; il s’appelait Jean et sa femme s’appelait Anastasie; ils étaient de vrais chrétiens et ils avaient des biens et beaucoup de richesses.” 1
