“ܡܫܒܚ ܐܢܐ ܠܪܚܡܬ ܝܘܠܦܢܟ ܘܠܪܓܬܟ ܕܠܘܬ ܡܝܬܪ̈ܬܐ. ܐܘ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ. ܕܐܦܠܐ ܚܕ ܣܒܥܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܐܠܗ̈ܝܬܐ. ܐܠܐ ܟܠܫܥ ܗܝ ܕܢܣܒܬ ܪܓܬܐ ܕܗܿܝ ܕܥܬܝܕܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܟ.” 1
“Je loue ton amour de la science et ton désir de vertus, homme de Dieu, car pas même une fois tu n’es rassasié des choses divines, mais chaque fois que tu en as pris, tu as eu le désir d’en reprendre.” 1

“Le grand Sévère était de race pisidienne et la ville de Sozopolis lui était échue, il réalisa le nom de la ville par ses actes, ou plutôt il ne fut pas seulement le sauveur d’une ville mais de tous les croyants du monde, comme le montra l’expérience.” 1

“Car maintenant surtout la grâce de l’Esprit couvre ses os vénérables pour que soient guéries toute maladie et toute faiblesse et que les démons soient chassés, seulement quand ceux qui son atteints de quelque chose s’approchent de son tombeau. Cela, en obéissant à ton exhortation… pour que soit prête pour moi la sortie du corps et la comparution sans condamnation devant le tribunal du Christ, avec qui et au Père avec l’Esprit Saint… Amen.” 1
