Aux jours de l’empereur Dioclétien, il y avait en Thébaïde un gouverneur appelé Arianos. Et ce gouverneur était monté en Égypte et il circulait en demandant aux chrétiens de sacrifier aux dieux. Il arriva dans une ville appelée Antéria et il y avait dans cette région un homme appelé Paphnuce.
