ܗܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܢܨܝܚܐ ܦܘܣܝ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܡܢ ܬܘ̈ܠܕܬܐ ܕܒ̈ܢܝ ܫܒܝܬܐ: ܕܐܝܬܝ ܫܒܘܪ ܒܪ ܗܘܪܡܝܙܕ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܪ̈ܗܘܡܝܐ: ܘܐܥܡܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܒܗܫܒܘܪ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܒܦܪܣ ܐܬܪܐ.
Cet illustre Pôsî était donc fils de parents captifs, emmenés de Romanie par Shahpour fils de Hormizd, et installés par lui dans la ville de Béhshabour au pays de Perse.
ܛܘܒܢܝܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܝ ܘܐܚܘܗܿ: ܐܝܟ ܡܐ ܕܙܕܩ ܒܚܦܝܛܘܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ: ܚܢܛܘܗܿ ܠܫܠܕܗ ܕܢܨܝܚܐ ܦܘܣܝ: ܘܣܡܘܗ̇ ܒܐܝܩܪܐ: ܕܬܗܘܐ ܣܝܡܬܐ ܕܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܠܒ̈ܢܝ ܡܕܝܢܬܗ̇. ܗܠܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܣܬܥܪ ܒܡܕܒܪܢܘܬܐ ܐܠܗܝܬܐ: ܕܠܗ ܫܘܒܚܐ... ܐܡܝܢ.
Mais la bienheureuse et son frère, avec grand zèle comme il convient, embaumèrent le cadavre de l’illustre Pôsî et le placèrent avec honneur pour qu’il soit un trésor de bénédiction pour ses concitoyens. Cela fut réalisé par l’économie divine; à lui… Amen.
