                    En l’an quinze de l’empereur Trajan César, et en l’an trois du règne du roi Abgar VII, qui est l’an 416 du règne d’Alexandre roi des Grecs, pendant le sacerdoce de Sharbêl et de Barsamyâ, Trajan César ordonna aux préfets des provinces de son empire de multiplier les sacrifices et les libations dans toutes les villes de leur juridiction.
                
                
                    In year fifteen of the Emperor Tiberius Ceasar, and in the third year of Abgar VII, which is the year 416 of the reign of Alexander, king of the Greeks, during the priesthood of Sharbel and Barsamya, Trajan Ceasar ordered to the prefects of the provinces to increase their sacrifices and libations in all the cities of their jurisdiction.
                
                
                    ܘܟܕ ܥܠ̣ܘ ܗܘ̣ܘ ܩܣܛܘܢܪ̈ܐ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ: ܪܗܛܘ ܐܚ̈ܐ ܘܐܢܫ̈ܐ ܥܠܝܡ̈ܐ: ܘܓܢܒܘ ܗܘ̣ܘ ܫܠܕ̈ܐ ܕܬܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ: ܘܣܡ̣ܘ ܗܘ̣ܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܒܝܬ ܩܒܘܪܐ ܕܐܒܘܗܝ ܕܥܒܫܠܡܐ ܐܦܣܩܘܦܐ: ܒܚܡܫܬܐ ܕܐܝܠܘܠ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܥܪܘܒܬܐ. ܟܬܒܬ ܗܘܦܡܢ̈ܡܛܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܘܐܢܛܘܠܘܣ ܐܟܣܩܦܛܘܪ̈ܝܣ: ܒܩܪܛܝܣܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܢܘܣ ܘܣܡܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܒܝܬ ܐܪ̈ܟܐ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ: ܐܬܪ ܕܩܪ̈ܛܝܣܐ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܣܝܡܝܢ.
                
                
                    Et quand les bourreaux furent entrés dans la ville, les frères et des jeunes gens coururent et dérobèrent les cadavres des deux et ils les placèrent dans la tombe du père de l’évêque Abshlamâ, le vendredi cinq Éloul. Nous avons écrit ces mémoires dans un manuscrit, moi Marin et Anatole, excepteurs, et nous les avons placés dans les archives de la ville, lieu où sont placées les chartes du roi.
