“ܗܫܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܬܡܢܥܢܢ ܒܡܠܬܢ ܚܠܫܬܐ: ܠܘܬ ܫܪܒܗ ܕܗܢܐ ܢܘܣܐ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܘܪܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ. ܡܠܐܟ ܒܪܢܫ ܘܣܪܦܐ ܡܓܫܡܐ: ܪܒܢ ܡܘܫܐ ܬܗܝܪ ܥܠ ܡ̈ܠܐܟܐ ܘܒܢܝ̈ܢܫܐ...” 1
“En effet maintenant que nous sommes parvenus dans notre discours misérable à l’histoire de ce temple de la grâce, économe du Christ, ange humain et séraphin corporel, Rabban Moïse, source d’admiration pour les anges et pour les hommes…” 1

“Le saint, soleil des saints, économe du Christ, maître des maîtres, Rabban Moïse, le saint des saints, mourut le vendredi, cinquième jour après la Résurrection, de l’an 1258 des Grecs, qui est l’an 335 des Arabes.
