                    ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܝܚܝܕܝܐ ܚܕ ܕܥܿܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܕܫܡܗ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܝ ܛܢܝܢܐ. ܘܥܡܿܠ ܗܘܐ ܥܡ̈ܠܐ ܪܘܪ̈ܒܐ. ܘܐܬܘ̈ܬܐ ܣܓܝܐ̈ܬܐ ܣܥܿܪ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܢ ܒܐܝܕܘ̈ܗܝ.
                
                
                    Il y avait un solitaire qui demeurait au désert et qui s’appelait Mâr Tnînâ. Il subissait de grande peines et notre Seigneur accomplissait beaucoup de signes par son intermédiaire.
                
                
                    ܘܗܟܢܐ ܐܬܛܪܦ ܘܠܐܝ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܘ̈ܡܬܐ ܕܚܝܘ̈ܗܝ. ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܘܢܕܢܗ ܓܠܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܐܦܣܩܘܦܐ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܗܿܝ ܕܫܟܒ ܒܗܿ. ܥܠܘܗܝ ܘܥܠ ܕܘܒܪ̈ܘܗܝ.
                
                
                    Ainsi il souffrit et peina tous les jous de sa vie. Et le jour de son décès, Dieu fit une révélation à l’évêque de la ville où il était mort sur lui et sur sa vie.
