بناه هذا الناسك في جوار ديار بكر سنة 390 انجب ثلاثة أساقفة أشهرهم يوحنا الافسسي المؤرخ 587 + ولم نقف له على خبر بعد سنة 600.3
A monastery north of Amid.
John the ascetic built this monastery in 390 near Diyarbakir. It produced three bishops, the most famous of whom is John of Ephesus, the historian (d. 587). We know nothing about it after 600.4

Moosa erroneously calls it "Monastery of John the Iberian" on p.304.
