                        انشأه البطريرك يوحنا السابع في ديار ملطية عام 969 وفيه اقام وتوفي. وكان ديراً فخماً انجب بطرياركاً و مفرياناً وثمانية عشر اسقفاً ومطراناً؛ ولم نقف له على ذكر بعد سنة 1243
                    
                    
                        was built in the province of Melitene in 969 by the Patriarch John VII, who lived and died there. A magnificent monastery, it produced one Patriarch, one Maphryono and eighteen bishops and metropolitans.
