"Patr. since 667/8. Severos was from Dayro da-Pgimto."1 In hagiography: Severus II Bar Mashqa is commemorated as a monk from the convent of Asphulos (also known as Dayro da-Pgimto). He had correspondence and tensions over ordination rights with John the Persian which were not resolved until Severus' successor, Athanasius.Status: draft
