It is represented in the lengthy version of this work «Five Books» and in a shorter version «Six Books». The revised version of the section was included in the East Syrian compilation «The History of the Blessed Virgin Mary». Our analysis is based on these Syriac versions of «Apocalypse». The article deals with the problem of the authorship of this «Apocalypse», some features of its structure and theological concepts. The conclusion is made that «Apocalypse» is one of the first Christian texts in which an attempt is made to reveal and substantiate the theological idea of the symbolic identification of the Mother of God with the temple. The duality of its authorship caused the creation of a number of similar texts related both to John the Apostle and the Virgin Mary.</note></biblStruct><bibl type="formatted" subtype="bibliography" resp="https://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-note-bibliography-17th-edition">
